Start the bike with the computer hooked up, the throttle should read 0% at idle, if not you'll need to calibrate the TPS (throttle position sensor) to the PCV.

If it reads 0% look at the map at 750 & 1000 rpms and 0% throttle, the settings should be 0.

Your screenshot only went down to 1750, you'll need to scroll the screen up a bit to see the lower RPM settings.

Not to stick my nose where it doesn't belong but... I guess he should be told that the bike needs to warm up before the TP will show 0%. If the TP is adjusted during cold idle it will throw the rest of the calibrations off.

I've heard that before, but I haven't figured out how warm/cold would effect the resistance reading from the TPS (which is all that's being calibrated)

Mine doesn't change regardless of engine temp.

Then again, I don't snap to WOT on a cold engine either.

As you start the bike when the computer is on you can see the RPM/throttle position cell highlight. Once warm up is completed it settles. You can see where your 0 idle is and what RPM. If it is wrong you can reset the PCIII calibration position to match your bike.

I've seen them all over the place. Don't know if it's a glitch or what but after warm up, a small throttle blip will settle it to the proper position (most of the time)

It's been so long since I've messed with a PCIII I'm having to clear the cobwebs to remember this. Surprising at my age I can remember where the bathroom is.

Sorry to interfere.

Yes, assuming the "choke" programming is active, you're right it does jump around (and hover above 1000RPMs) I guess I assumed he'd wait until it settled down ...never assume

Default Problem solved

I downloaded a map from Jamie from Fuel Moto and the problem no longer exists. No more ping and just a slight bit of decel popping but not bad at all. Seems the old map was same settings for both cylinders, way too rich at idle and far too much advance at full throttle.
