Problem with Auto Tune 02 Sensor - Help!
I am replacing my pipes and noticed that the O2 sensor of the read cylinder was VERY covered in black carbon/soot.
I performed the O2 sensor test (hold the test button for 3 seconds, wait for quick flashes to stop and then count the slow flashes) and found that the read O2 sensor doesn't seem to be getting a reading. I just get the quick flashes and then nothing but the steady indicator light.
So, I know all the instructions say don't touch the end, but is it possible to try cleaning it? If so how?
Is there something else that could cause this bad reading?

Well it seems to be working now. I blew on it, tapped it against the counter gently, swapped the 'bad' rear to the front, said a little prayer and tried it again. Both tested OK. One flash for an elevation of 1800 feet is what it was supposed to do.
