I have a SERT with the serial cable connector to computer. Bought a Belkin F5U109 usb to serial adapter. When connected to net book the data record will read ecm info. Will record for a couple minutes then drop connection. What is the best usb to serial connector to use with the SERT ? I have searched a lot of topics on this an this adapter suppose to work. But sure makes me pull my few hairs I have left.
The old SERT is now the TTS. They make their own Serial to USB cable. Contact one of their dealers for purchasing this cable.
Some generics, such as you have, work fine while others will not transfer data properly or fast enough.
Also... there is an upgrade program to change your SERT to a TTS. www.mastertune,net and look for the Harley upgrade. The software updater is there as well and you can download the programs, calibrations and manuals.
if its communicating try lowering the frame rate at which datamode records. I believe the default setting is 20. See if lowering it to 10 will help log.
I tried lowering the data rate but did not help. E-mailed TTS to see about a cable that would work. Ran the updater an said it could be updated but do not know weither I am going to do it.

09 dyna street bob. Called TTS an buying a cable from them.
If you plan to keep it I would highly recommend the upgrade.
Grab the software updater and install it then run the updater. All though the software looks simular the upgrade to the TTS is well worth it. Especially the new cam selector and VTuning software for self tuning.
