TMAX failure
Thanks brother. I posted my displeasure in the Dyna section, and had JSHULL, say quit bitchen..........
No i will bitch... Its a thousand doller tuner, and any elect issue will cost 200 bucks........ Because it couldnt possibly be a flaw in the thundermax,
Nevermind, just found your other thread. You do not mention if the results of your IAC test with the stock ECM. I am guessing you think the IAC driver has failed. If a loose battery cable will damage your TMAX, it is not properly designed for the environment. You sure don't hear about people having these issues with stock ECMs, or HD giving folks a bunch of crap about ECM failures. Think about all the ECMs in cars...
I probably would not have mentioned the battery cable to Zipper's, but I have gone a couple of rounds with them and know how they operate.

I actually talked to the HD dealer i bought it from this morning, They pushed the Tmax pretty hard as the BEST tuner on the market, Explained my issue and they are NOT Happy hearing the Warranty prob, Guy actually said he will not PUSH them anymore....
Your TMAX is only a few months old, yet you have a hard failure.
You are aware of others having IAC driver failures on a web site you read.
Due to all the problems you are reading about, it seems the TMAX has an issue with the IAC driver.
A properly designed ECM would not fail due to a loose battery cable (if they go there). They need to prove that caused the problem.
Remind them of the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act.
If you remain civil and calm, I think you could make some headway. They charge $400 for a reconditioned ECM so they are only giving you a 50% discount. You do not need the Autotune module.
I searched their website and I could not find any details about their warranty except that it is 3 years (Strange?).
PM sent with additional info...
