Default SERT Question??

I traded my 06 softail in for a 07 StreetGlide Today. The dealer put on Rush pipes, SE Stage 1 intake, and SERT...... All They gave me was CD with screamin eagle on it. I was wondering if this was all the SERT consisted of. He told me that i would have to buy the cord extra for connection.. They already did the download, but I am not familiar with this system. Any help or comments are appreciated!!!

You should also have recieved a small black box about 3/4inch thick 2 inches wide and 3 inches long, called a dongle for making the connection from a PC to your ecm, without it you SERT is useless for future upgrades, it is also usless for your dealer to keep it because once it is used to program your ecm it is married to it and will only work on your bike. Make sure you get this from them, as for the cables, the 07 SERT's do not come with the cables, you would need to purchase them seperately. The CD they gave you includes the calibration files , instruction manual, and the software needed to make the connection between a PC and your bike for future tuning.

Ok, Thanks.. I found the little black box in one of the hard bags. So how much is the cable for connection?

You can get the cables from your dealer. They list for $29.95 p/n 32108-06 When you go in to the dealer to buy the cables ask them for a copy of theFILEthat theyinstalled in your bike. If they made any changes to thebase file (often refered to as map)it would be best to have this file and makechanges to the modified file that is installed in your bike not the base file on the CD.
