I have a SERT on my 2007 Street Glide which has V & H True Duals and Oval Slip ons. Its runs and sounds great! I am purchasing a 2007 RK Classic next week and want to put V & H True Duals with Ovals on it also. Can I use SERT ECM plug/connector on the new bike as well since they are identical configurations? Obviously, I'd like to save money if possible. I figure that once it's set I am not going to be changing anything since I plan on no further modifications to either bike. Appreciate your feedback on this.
The answer is NO. A SERT will only work with one bike and it is married to it - till death do they part - at least the ecm anyway. If the ECM dies you will need a new SERT
[hollering voice] You can't buy two '07's!!! You can't, you can't!!! They have all kinds of problems!! The transmission is junk! The engine is junk!![sm=crossbonesgif.gif] You must walk away from the thought of owning, not just one, but two '07's!!!!! Can't you read?[sm=proof.gif] Peeps are echoing it everywhere!! The '07's are flawed hardware that needs to be scrapped!!!![/hollering voice]
........as I look over at my '07 UC and smile thankfully that I bought one![sm=smiley27.gif]
UltraKlassic, I also love my 2007 Street Glide even with the whining transmission! I like the performance improvements compared to my 06 SG. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your 07 Ultra.. I have always wanted a RK Classic so that is why I am getting it. I'll use the Classic around town as my bar bike and the SG for long rides and overnighters. Good luck!
