I would first try adjusting the AFRs in your cruising range. In those areas mine is about 13.5, so 13.8 is not that far off. See how that goes and if it runs OK you can try tweaking it a little more.

So I would think 2300-4000 rpms at 20-40% throttle.

That sounds about right, almost the same as my map. My motor is stock except for the stage 1, no cams. Well, I do have cams, just the stockers.
I won't take any credit if this works for you, my map was set up by an TMax expert. I'm at the point where I can go a couple thousand miles before needing to auto map, so it's dialed in pretty good.

When I was using a T-Max I was getting about 39-40 mpgs. My AFR's were about 13.8 up to 14.1 in the cruise range. I miss my T-Max!

Sounds good. I put the AFR around 13.8 from 2048-4096 RPM's from 10-30% throttle with a nice slope back down to 13 AFR at 40% throttle. Now I have to wait for the rain to stop.

If you want a ballpark feel for what changing the AFR might do for your fuel economy, check out this thread... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...l-economy.html

That thread makes sense. My PCV had similar results from the original FM map. I picked up 5mpg when I decreased fuel 10% in the cruise range. The bike ran well.
