HD 4" Speedo/Tach combo on 06 Dyna tossing U1097...
Guys,
New to posting here but I have been lurking and reading a ton of information for about a month now. I dug up a few posts regarding this issue that a couple members had but no solutions posted. My bike is at the dealer now since its cold and winter anyway to have this checked out. I did the following...
-checked to make sure ignition switch connection was tight (heard it can cause this) fine.
-pulled, checked and cleaned VSS, appears fine not a spec on it.
-checked all fuses, battery leads and cables and grounds fine.
Called the dealer for an update today and gave them the stock speedo when I dropped it off. With the stock speedo in no codes are triggered. When the HD one is in the light comes on and off while driving and the security light does the same.
I am at a loss, I dont think its the guage (could be wrong) when others have experienced this too, but limited.
Any ideas? I really appreciate the help.
