Default Road King starter

I have a 2003 Road king, when I hit the starter it sounds like loud popping. I can get to the post on top of the starter, cleaned and retightend it. My question is can I get to the other post to clean and tighten? From my service manual it appears to be near the bottom of the starter. Thanks for any help.

You have a starter and solenoid assembly. The starter has a main battery connection on the top and transfers that to the starter through the solenoid. Pull the end cap off the right side of your starter and check the connections in there. Disconnect the battery vbefore pulling the cap. There is a spring loaded plunger assembly that has a copper shoulder that connects the 2 copper terminals when you hit the start button and energize the solenoid. Try cleaning the connections made by the t copper tabs and the plunger or just buy the rebuild kit which will have a new plunger and 2 copper terminals
