i just installed v&h's big shot staggerds and big sucker with se's #67 map. bike runs great but i pulled the plugs to check and they are white. went back and maxed out the o2 bias table and went for a five minute ride with no change. does any one have a better map. ore some advice. or am i bieng overly anol.
What do you mean burning white? Are they just clean or actually turning white? I have the baffles out of my O7 Fatboy and the plugs are clean after 1200 miles, but not white.
These motors were designed to run lean. You have the correct map for you setup. Run it some more and check them again. Dispite all the screaming about the 07 running hot and lean (which they do) doesn't seem to be any failures related toit. Chances are good your running richer than it did out of the crate.
An old gearheadmoto "Give the motor what it want" If its running great I think you've done just that.
thanks guys . yea after putting some miles on her she runs awsome. i undestandfrom reading other posts that you cant read plugs. my afr looks good and the knock retarder doesnt seem to be active so i guess everything is ok. just didnt want to hurt anything. she's my daily driver . thanks again.
Or you could tune it right with a dyno so you really know whatis going on. Its kind of an expensive part to be playing a guessing game with. THE MAPS THEY PROVIDE ARE JUST AN EXPENSIVE DOWNLOAD. IF YOU WANT A CUSTOM INTAKE,EXHAUST AND OR MOTOR WORK
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YOU NEED A CUSTOM MAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO GUESSING
