glide if thats the only green wire down there then i would say we have the right one...and it is a white plastic clip with the green wire running into it....just pull at thst clip to get it out? don't see any ridge to push up and free it......don't want too break it..so I will wait to hear from you...it sits below the red terminal and kind of near the bottom on the right side of the bike on that same part as the red terminal.....maybeyou can explin to me again what that green wire actually does...thx jr...my email adress is theriles10@aol.com if you want to email me I will email you back my phone and maybe you can give me a ring..if not, no problem..we will continue this way..thx jr

The area where the big battery cable attaches on the back of the solenoid is the same place where the green wire goes onto the clip where it attaches. It is the feed that activates the solenoid when the start button is pushed after it runs through the relay. Chances are that is where the corosion is.

If you can access the starter relay on the bike, probe terminal#87 which is the other end of the wire that is on the solenoid. Set the meter on volts first and measure the volts at the relay end and then at the solenoid end which you can probably do without removing the wire itself. If you see a loss at the solenoid, then change the meter to ohms and check the resistance from one end of the wire to the other and see what resistance you see there. It should give you an indication if this is the problem area.
