Question Getting frustrated

Hi guys I come to you for much needed tuning help. I have been trying to find a local shop here to dyno tune my bike however it seems no one in Oregon tunes Power Vision.

Here are my main issues I have with my current tune.

I almost have all the decel pop removed but still get a loud pop if I snap off the throttle like when shifting or decel at low rpm like 2400 and under.

The bike has a noticeable flat spot in the power in 5th and 5th gear from about 2900rpm to 3500.

The bike runs smooth and temps are in the 230s-240s when riding 90% of the time unless stuck in traffic for long periods.

I pulled the plugs and it appears my front jug is running a bit fatter than my rear. My Front plug is a tan color and my rear is the nice greyish color it should be.

Can anyone give me some good pointers on tuning in winPV or point me in a good direction on reading logs and making the needed changes?

I'd try advancing the timing in that area. I advanced the timing across the board on my tune and it did wonders for performance.
If you or the bike don't like it you can always switch it back.

OP, it sure sucks no good tuners for PV in OR. I bought a PV1 for my Ultra with a stage one and 255's from Fuel Moto. They sent me a great map that seems to work well. I bought the PV because of planned mods and I am just starting to learn a very little bit about auto tune. Really didn't want to have to become an expert myself, just want a good running bike. FM will play with a map or send you new ones for free if you bought the PV from them, hopefully that is all the help I will need.

Does Dynojet do the same thing? If you email them your map will they tweak it and send it back?

I think I saw on the Dynojet website a tuner up in Washington. I wonder...

Latus motors in Gladstone does the SE dyno tunes. I almost went with the SE instead of the PV because of that but I want to change things up on my bike whenever I feel like it and wanted a tuner that was more flexible and din't need to be dyno tuned every time. Time will tell.

Jamie at FM did my original tune for me but I really need to get this thing on a Dyno. I cant find my order # as it was last year and my receipt is packed away in a box somewhere from my last move. The tune is great other than the few spots I have mentioned.

If you have not done so I would recommend sending in a request to the map request form on our website, make sure you include a copy of your map so we can review it. If you have not yet done so I would recommend using the Auto Tune Basic application with your Power Vision, here is some additional info and you are welcome to contact us for any assistance.

Thanks Jamie. I have run 3 or 4 auto tunes on my current tune each being about 50+ miles. I'll see if I can dig up my order # and submit my map and latest log to you guys.

If you can not find your order number a nice lady at Fuel Moto told me if you call them up they can look it up for you.
