Default sensor problem

Coming home from week-end trip ( 2005 Wide Glide, EFI ). Stopped for a break. Got ready to leave and wouldn't start. Checked all I could, and had to call for a rescue. Next morning it started but no throttle unless I opened it very slowly and would sputter. Self diag. gives codes for the Map sensor and Throttle position sensor. Replaced both and still get same thing. Won't clear codes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just tossing something out there.

Remove your crankcase sensor and clean it.

You would be surprised what that little bugger can corrupt when it's not sensing the crank position. That may not be the answer but that's one more thing out of the equation.

Like I said... was just tossing out an idea. I do know they go bad. Break out your meter and check to see if there is about 950 ohms across the crankcase sensor leads.

I replaced the crank pos. sensor. Still the same. Codes won't clear. Looks like it will have to go to the shop. I'm about to the end of my expertise. Thanks for the help.

Sorry that didn't work out. Maybe they will just clear the codes and the bike will be fine.
