trans hole question

Default trans hole question
much thanks to ironmick for the help on uploading pic.i noticed this small hole when i was changing the gasket and oil seal retainer behind the drive sprocket.is this something to be concerned with or is there something i should do with this before i reassemble.thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

The hole at about 2:00 o'clock, below the top right bolt hole? I do not know. It has been a long time since i have been in there. But i have a vague memory of something like that. See what others say.

yes thats it.its hard to tell but it kind of looks chipped but i figured id find out before i put it back together.

That hole is normal, although I do not it's purpose. It is covered by the seal gasket, so no problem.

If it's not leaking it shouldn't be an issue.

This confirms my recollection. I believe i asked this same question 4 or 5 years ago.
