I have a 77 XLCH 1000 Sportster Confederate Edition. I'm putting a new tank on it and can not find the paint codes so I canmatch the original paint. Does anyone know how to find the paint code orcolor?

scarleetthog, couple of choices. Pierce Color Write schmoo@gis.net or you can use Antique Cycle Supply. Only two I know of.

From PPG I found paint code for 2001 HD, most of older can't be found there.

Thanks guys! I did find and ordered the paint from Antique Cycle Supply. They looked it up and the bike was painted with charcoal silver. I can say one thing, they don't give it away ($71.00/quart). Thanks again!
