I was picking up some parts today and saw this front fender. I always wondered what the 4th hole was for above the mud flap. It has a rubber stopper in it but no idea why. Whats the purpose of the 4th hole above the mud flap?

These arrived today, I didn't need two but I thought scooping both up wasn't a bad idea. I'll sell one when I want to retire. Unrestored and not too much patina, Im hoping to find another black ride side I can use as is.

Frame is ready for paint. Going with a urethane gloss black. Where ever the brass bled out from the forgings it was left as is, just looked after the history the frame had accumulated over the years.

Nice to see that there is not a lot of extra slag from where they combined the parts on the frame. Seems that during the AMF years that wasn't the case.

There's some from the electric welding here and there but pretty nice. The 41 frame is covered in brass splatter to the point it'll look like I used gravel guard in places before paint.

Tanks are in the prep stage. Rotating assembly is ready for the cases, cylinders and pistons ready. Need to fix a few fins on one head then rebuild them.

NOS rear section on an oem main fender. Test fitted the nos rear hinged section to a repop main and the results were less than stellar. Like it would take an incredible amount of work to make the two look like they belonged together.
