We believed it was up to who it was assembling the machine new and was he on the left or right side of it and what happened during assembling

could he have pulled the fender wire out of the lume sure - something that did not need to be attached

Right now I do not remember an extra wire for a fender light on my '46 WL, but for sure I do NOT have that terminal on the horn mount. First time I have ever seen that, Not saying mine is 100 point original, but new to me regardless.

Its easy when you assemble using all new fasteners - and to think Colony knows best what goes and what does not - when they put everything that might have been in the package for the entire line over all the years and models that could have used any of it - is subject to well Maybe and even maybe not

having said that - the original fasteners are gone from the Broom on the floor after it was disassembled in a pile of debris

have tried to find all of it but i dont have that many years left in my life to get the all - But i hate the new look of all of it

There's some colony on my bikes but most is not. Im most proud of things like this.

My 48 but the 46 and 41 will be no different. Pits in the hardware and a backing plate that has history, things the AMCA would deduct for on a restored bike I believe. A tweak / bend in the rear guard that I chose to leave rather than trying to press it back out. I would rather those than repop stuff that looked perfect.

I had at the AMCA a 71 we did billy seen it and they took points off in the restored class that were not restored and a few that were

it was sent to the winners circle at motorcycle pedia for a year but it was so popular they kept it for 4 years - its receive 97.8 points its still the highest scoring AMF shovel FLH in the AMCA

the seat vinyl for the 1971 - was not from the right period in history

we had a the flawless original speedo on it with its original miles they deducted for the unrestored speedo

the exhaust muffler clamps were gorgeous but not restored - yea you guessed it points off

pitted bolts no but couple washers yes that were in the parts book they did not agree with

Did a little on the frame tonight because the fenders and tanks are about ready for primer so I need to test fit them before final paint.

The grit in some of the paint is actually the brass from the furnace brazing so I left it rather than smooth it down and make it too nice.
