What are the dealerships charging for the vent kit? My 2017 RK had a dry dipstick on the tranny late last night at 9600 miles. My local dealership is closed today. My warranty has run out.
And what exactly do they do to install the vent kit?
Well I would say If this problem was recorded with that dealership during the warranty period, I think your going to be ok, But if not Im still thinking theres been enough news about the issues with this engine to have something like this to be pro rated.
2019 electra glide standard took in for 1000 mile service. Found oil transfer and they put in a primary vent kit.Asked about them taking the bike back and they offered me $2000 less than I paid for it to trade on another bike lol. Guess I won't be buying another one from them.
Offered $2700 less than purchase price before taxes and fees

Last years model, with 1,000 miles on it, now used... and you wanted them to reimburse you fully? What other company would do such a thing over a problem they can fix with the vent install? Would Toyota do that? Or Ford?

Be realistic.
Yep I expect too much. Guess I'll keep this until warranty runs out then buy a gold wing.
Definitely done with harley. Had 4 so far and they obviously don't care about the customer. buy a new bike and it needs new seat and rear shocks right off the bat. Then 1000 miles and you have known issues that they can't fix but keep on selling.
I traded in my 2016 softail deluxe thinking I was getting something better, if they keep losing customers maybe they will get it and start caring about customers.
