Anyone found a set of true duals yet? Been hoping rush was going to come out with a set, but i've still haven't gotten a response from them. don't want to just do slip on. Love my m8 but didn't think it take this long for a set of decent exhaust. Honestly been thinking about just putting in cams and a tune until a decent set of true duals come out
never a big fan of the look of 2-1 honestly, and performance wise, if you got the right tuner and a good tune guy you can get good numbers. buddy has 2016 SGS with rush duals and big louie, kn filter just stage 1, doing 94hp 114trq. so you can get good numbers off a stage 1 without 2-1
Yep, if you are looking for the peak numbers.
consider
Where in the rpm band you spend most all your time?
Look for exhaust that actually helps lower rpm running while not hurting peak numbers.
Typically duals hurt bottom end grunt....which is exactly what I want in a heavy bagger.
Nothing wrong with hurting performance to get the look. Just consider why folks put straight pipe fishtails on their bikes. It's certainly not for performance.
Just my $.02, Bob

I had an old timer looking at my 06 Ultra Classic with the Supermeg on it. He said he could tell I was more into performance vs how well my purse would match my shoes. I kind of looked at him funny. He then went on to explain, some guys are like chicks, they worry about looks vs function. I did try the true duals thing once, hated the low end loss, couldn't get them off and onto Ebay fast enough.

I totally agree, True Duals usually limit airflow, thus limit performance and torque. There are a number of companies out there with aftermarket head pipes and mufflers but they all pretty much advertise as "not for road use, race track only". Meaning they have removed the Cat and do not comply with EPA. Now if that's not an issue for the thread starter, then Fuel Moto has a really good head pipe that utilizes OEM heat shields, which allows them to sell them a lot cheaper than other after market head pipes.

Bassani is making true duals and they're available on Revzilla. I'm personally looking for 2-1-2 because my OCD doesn't like 2-1 and it wouldn't help to have a "dead" slip-on just for looks.

Actually the design of the 2-1-2, due to 2 mufflers to share exhaust instead of one as with a 2-1, allow for quieter muffs without hp/tq loss.
Still, IME, not quite as good as the long primary 2-1's (i.e.:Fatcat, Roadrage, etc) but not enough for me to give up the stock dual exhaust look that works well as is.
