Default stiff clutch pull ?

Just picked up my new ride today 17' SGS first huge improvement all the way around compared to my 14. The only thing right now I find a bit disturbing is how hard the clutch pull is and the friction point well I barley have to pull to shift anyone else notice this or is it just me.... oh and finding neutral is a piece of cake huge improvement on the transmission noise and shifting

Yep, harder to pull. Been discussed many times.

Yeah, mine is harder to pull than my old Street Bob, the friction zone is way out there also. You'll get used to it. My bike is hard to find neutral, best to bump the throttle and it pops in.

Congrats on the new ride ejvette.
Noticed everything described. Taken around 1000 miles to finally start getting used to the clutch. Had to be real careful at first. Felt like a novice in parking lots, and still do at times. It's still not second nature, but I'm starting to actually like it this clutch... especially in the twisties.

You will get used to the clutch.Won't take long. You will also like downshifting smoothly at almost any speed.

Once I realized that I no longer had to make a fist (full pull) with my left hand for clutch action and instead could simply make a claw (almost 1/3 the previous motion), the extra effort and funkiness went away. Neutral is still a ***** to find with ease and the soft gear changes seem to go away as riding hours add up in the day. I'm not complaining, just my observations.

For what it's worth a set of 1200N clutch springs was installed with the Stage III kit in my Ultra Limited and I find the clutch action much improved over stock. Pull is a little harder than stock but the engagement seems better.
