The piston oiling jets are in the crankcase below the base of the pistons. He said its one of the two screws that hold them onto the wall of the case. If it backed out it falls into the case where the oil pump scavenged the oil and picks it up. That's how it got in there and took out the rotor teeth

That is the problem I see. Anything that falls into cam galley pretty much stays there. The pickup for the return side of the pump is over in the flywheel side of the case. The pump pressure side intake is in the oil bag under the transmission

That is possible.

He also posted over on HTT....

According to his post over there, he was at FuelMoto getting a cam installed. FuelMoto found the screw in the oil pump, cam installation was halted, and he towed it to his dealer.....

And some say I'm nut's to think Yamaha's newest touring bike could take a few sales from Harley. History has shown they have bullit proof motors, on and on.

It pains me to say this, Harley must improve quality control. Customers expect more when paying 20, 30, 40 grand for a bike.

Fuel Moto found it. I was there yesterday. Had to abort my New Cam install and bring the bike back to Westland, Mi.

Got dayum.

I said it'd be two years before I was interested in an M8 Harley. I have since revised that to five years.

Very sorry to hear about your issues Stevie. I'm feeling your pain right now with my bike. Hope HD gets us both fixed up ASAP.
