I know that a lot of owners have had issues and I wonder how many [QUOTE]
You don't know a single person that's had an issue with their M8 and Id hardly count the amount of owners on here with problems as being "a lot of owners"

Because they're jealous plain and simple. Something new and better came out that the majority of real owners are raving about and everyone with a TC is talking **** about them.
Oh and HELL NO I wouldn't change a thing or give my bike back. My 17 SG is the best Harley Ive ever owned. Up to this point Ive owned a 09 Nightster, 14 Breakout, 15 Deluxe. This one is better than them all
No way I would go back. Best Harley ever! I've only owned three . Seriously though, my Ultra Limited is a great bike with zero problems. Only problem I've had with it is I don't have more time to ride it.
Maybe with a Goldwing. But that is an ancient design, boring as he'll and ugly. At least in my opinion
Those goldwings have had and still have their share of problems. Even though they have basically been the same old stale design since the 2001 model year. I don't care who the manufacturer is, they all have problems. Just the way it is lately, since manufacturers do so little R&D before they dump their product into consumer hands. They all calculate to just do the least amount of R&D, release to consumers, then maybe address problems down the road.

lol. Now that you mention it, I sat on a 2017 Goldwing, and I was so bored I didn't even take it for a ride. Been there done that. That's why I want something different, a Limited. That's kinda funny, because the Electraglide has looked the same since I saw my first one in 1977.
I never had any significant problems with my Goldwings. Except mirrors. For some damn reason they all had an issue with the mirrors.
This is my first Harley and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. I picked it up two weeks ago and put 1K miles on it already. No troubles what so ever.
My 2017 Roadglide Billet Silver aka the Silver Bullet is the smoothest, torquiest Harley I have ever owned! Iron head Sportster, Shovel, Evo and Twin Cam, all excellent motorcycles, but this thing is ****ing rockstar!
Not sure why David's question gets a rise out of so many. Isn't that the point of forums - to ask questions? If you don't care for the topic, maybe just ignore it. So many threads worthy of being ignored too I might add.....
Anyway David, I'm completely satisfied with my M8 and the bar was pretty high given the mint softail it replaced. I've had zero issues, and perhaps more telling, I'm yet to meet a single M8 owner who has had an issue either. And I know quite a few with the new bikes.
Waiting for an 18 is ano brainer. The 17's will be cheaper then. Good luck whatever you do, but I'd have some confidence that the vast majority of M8's are functioning normally.
I'm very happy with my M8. Lots of power, torque and less heat than the 103 TC I traded for this one. No tranny migration as of yet and I'm at 2400 miles.
Would I do it again? Absolutely. Am I worried about issues? Not really. I accepted that this is a new motor and there is a risk of issues. I have a 2 year warranty and HD is in this motor for the long haul. Bugs will be worked out as the discoverer them. It may take some time on some of them but they will be worked out.
