Read about this subject here and it seemed it was limited to the stage III an IV upgrade. But. I wonder if in fact some of the 107s were having the issue just not to the same degree.
This thought comes to me because I have owned a 2017 RK and just recently got a 2018 RKS. NOW THIS ISNT SCIENTIFIC; but, this 2018 seems to have more power. There is only 15 lb weight difference and I wouldn't think that would be noticeable in the acceleration.
It makes sense to me that HD would just use the new oil pump on any further production rather than stock 5 different oil pumps
Regardless I now am of the opinion that the RKS is the best touring bike due to its handling, acceleration and style. Unless you just got to have all that electronic do dads
The engines are made in one location, the bikes are assembled in another.
Does the build date have a relevance to the engine build date.
Since the oil pump evolution has been ongoing who knows what oil pump you have.
Now if your "bumping issue" continues I would suggest some premium ohlins.
Talked with the head tech at the dealer and he said harley is using the new pumps on all production bikes. Makes sense...why have 5 different oil pumps

Don't believe it for a minute. My 2017 Limited had mild sumping and wouldn't stop pissing oil into the air filter. To the point within 200 miles the filter was saturated and I had a trail of oil running down the front of the engine. It had a Stage 3 kit installed. After 4 dealer visits they offered me a new stock 107 and a credit for the Stage 3. They installed the new engine with an upgraded pump (what ever version it was 2 1/2 months ago) and gave it back to me. Within 200 miles of easy riding same damn thing. Another visit by a factory rep and it still pissed the same amount of oil.
Offered me a replacement bike. I waited almost 2 months for the 2018 MY. Picked up the bike 2 weeks ago from last Friday. By the time it hit 200 miles over the weekend I had the same damn trail of oil running down the engine and the once pink filter was saturated from about the 2 o'clock to the 10 o'clock position. Back to the dealer the following Tuesday. Was just told they were sent an upgraded pump, not sure if it's the 3rd or 4th generation? **** I don't know or really care I just want my bike fixed for good. As fair as Harley and my dealer has been throughout this process they have exhausted all the goodwill accumulated over the last 25 years I've been a customer.
