I have an iPhone 6 plus with an OtterBox Case. It won't fit, no way, not even close. Kind of a Pain in the ***. Not sure yet how Ill go about it. I don't want the phone on my Handlebars. Waiting to see what DaveWear comes up with. Either Way , You'll need a cord adaptor.

My Samsung 8 with an otter box case AND wallet fit in my right box with a spare usb c charging cable connected to the usb plug. I just used a bread tie to keep the spare cable from getting tangled.

I doubt the Samsung 8 note would fit with the other stuff though. Looks like depth would be an issue.

For non RG's the bigger phones will not fit. I found the kuryakyn windshield bag holds an iPhone 7plus. I've even got one listed in the classifieds (cheap plug, I know). Using a windshield bag would just need a cable to run from the USB to the phone

yes, I do it with a Samsung S6. you need a startech usb cable with a right-angle on the micro-usb plug. The right angle allows you to fit it in the compartment. push the cable in first so it is against the back of the compartment:

Default Short Cord

You can always shorten the coed with a zip tie or a twist tie. I have an IPhone 6SE, which is smaller, but I have a lightening charger cord bound up with a zip tie. Should be no problem.
