Can anyone tell me whether the cable coming from the info center is a male or female usb? I don't have a new bike yet & I just wanted to have a flashdrive to plug into it for music. If it is a male then I will need to get a male to female usb cable. Thanks for any info
It's a standard USB connection (just like your PC or laptop). Your flashdrive will connect right to it, no additional cables needed.
Thats is correct, but to answer the question it is a female end on the bike cable. Most if not all flash drives are male so it will plug right in. Love mine!
It's so small that it looks like a cap on the USB cord. Unpacked, erased the provided "Secure Access" files, dragged a couple hundred songs from iTunes then plugged it into the bike. Works flawlessly.
For those using a flash drive, are you able to place the files into "playlists" like I do on my iPhone by placing the song files into seperate folders? I can't believe I'm asking this on a Harley forum LOL!
