The Healtech Speedohealer is an American product which is used by me and my Superbike friends to bypass the throttle limiter on all brands of bikes.
It's primary purpose is to correctly calibrate the speedo. It has a secondary switchable program which allows the Speedo reading to be reduced to a point below the Limiter activation for high speed runs and Dragging. It works on every brand . Switching on the fly with the Harley has no effect on the actual top speed. We have looked at every angle for a reason! The logical and irefutable conclusion is that there is no limiter,no matter how many people it upsets. In my book they are just looking for a reason why Harley's are so under powered? Direct and plausable answers please.
I don't see a Healtech Speedohealer listed for 2017-18 CANBUS Harleys.
Furthermore, as stated before, no wizard tech speedo hacking device is going to remove/modify/trick the ECM regulated speed limit as that tool... is for tricking the speedo, not the ECM.

As stated before, the ECM gathers this info from the Vehicle Speed Sensor which is on top of the Trans.

English is not your first language is it. Your conclusions are typically off base and irrefutably illogical. Maybe they make sense in your other language?

It's not just the 17 and 18s that have a speed limit. My 15 rgs will not go passed the 110 mark. I currently have a 2 into 1 ac and fp3 and rev set at 6200. Hopefully some tuners can chime in.. in the import world we send are ecm in to Brooks performance or guhl motors or bren tune to have are ecm derestricted. I dont know how the harleys work but I am sure the ecm has restrictions.

The next time I was in the dealership, he came up to me and asked if he could put my bike back on the dyno cause he wanted to try something different this time. He came back with a tune sheet showing 120 hp and 117 tq. What he said, and showed me on the sheets, was that the mph cutout in the EMC would shut the bike down too early at 6000 rpm. What he did was disconnect the transmission sending unit so the EMC didn't really know how fast the bike was going so it shut down on the rev limiter at 6250, not speed. Made a bit of difference for sure but on the super slab, it still shuts down on mph cutout, sooooooo.......

This is the post that I posted in June about this topic......
The original attachments, (Dyno Sheets), didn't come over in the quote so I added them below. Although MPH is not shown on them, disconnecting the VSS definitely allowed the bike to hit the Rev Limiter, (2nd Sheet), for a full run instead of shutting down early, (1st Sheet), on the Speed Limiter...... the Speed Limiter that DOES exist.

Default Speed

That would suck if you spend 5k between your build and your limited.

When I get some answers to the questions which have been asked,I may recant my position
I know who Steve Cole is and would not lightly go against his opinion yet I still maintain that there is no Speed limiter link to the speedometer and therefor no limiter.
At no time has there been sign of anything but a lack of enough power to push it faster.
Ask yourself why the " limiter" comes in at a lower speed on moderate up Hills?
I have seen an increase in speed in increments arter stage 1 stage 11 and stage 111 ???
The rev limiter is real and has nothing to do with the pseudo speed limiter which you confuse it with. In fact l have raised my rev limit ignition interrupter to 6250 during the remapping with The H D Super Pro Race tuner.
Really don't know why I waste my efforts on this!
What do you mean no link? The ECM on a 2017 gets the vehicle speed off the tranny (VSS).. It knows what the speed is an pushes it out on the CAN bus to the speedo. ECM has done this since at least 06 maybe earlier but used an earlier serial bus.

Thanks for joining in.The tuners are tuned into this thread already!
Your experience is matched by mine exactly. Both my 2014 and 2016 T/C Sgs bikes could barely creep up to 108mph, standard.
I converted them both to full high compression, S E stage 111 with S E Superpro Race tuner.Cost a fortune in Parts but they both went only 10 mph faster! However that increase led me to the opinion that there was no speed limiter holding them back, just as in your case!
On this thread there is a chart, provided by Steve Cole which indicates that a vehicle speed limiter on your bike will activate at 149 mph.In other words you wont get there even if you stripped your bike down and fitted a turbo!

.Dont know what went wrong with the goofy midrange torque line on the first graph? Any way both runs are very impressive dyno results, for any Harley.
Sadly I have clearly failed to adequately explain the difference between the revolution limiter and the vehicle maximum speed limiter, but you have solved that dilemma with your graphs.
Irrefutably the first graph shows the REV limiter coming in strongly at 6000 rpm and interupting the ignition. The second graph is, without doubt, after they lifted the REV limit higher because I did exactly the same with my M8,because the 489 cam pulls all the way up to 6250. I dont understand what it would help lifting yours as it clearly levels out and drops indicating a gear change at 5800 max for best performance.Dont know where the VSS disconect story originates from.If it is disconected the engine managemert light will come on the Speedo,Gear indicator, ABS,and what you think is the GPS driven speedo on the screen will fail. Please take my comments to your tuner to verify. Then pull the black VSS plug off the top of the gearbox.

It is not conjecture, the speed limiter is right in the ECM calibration in black & white. On M8 bikes the speed limiter is 176 KPH/109 MPH in the factory calibration, if you want the bike to run beyond this speed you need to use an aftermarket flash tuner that supports editing this table.

So someone disagrees with you on a mundane subject? You bring their credibility, honesty, inteligence, education and heritage into question.
Couldnt you just pick one? Is Donald your Uncle?
Whether you can find it or not, I bought the speedohealer and installed it on my 2017 M8 myself! Question, why are you chicken scratching at Healtech?
Dont you know that the speedo hasnt changed since 2014 and the VSS is a simple pulse transmitter which has not changed since 2007.Having spliced the three wires directly from the VSS to the Healtech I can assure you that I saw the the outlet wires heading only towards the instrument cluster.
The Healtech is a sophisticated electronic frequency converter which alters the message to the speedo. If your highness is intimating that if and when the altered signal arives at the ECM, it will still be deciphered,I recommend you dont buy Healtech shares. As to my ancestry, even the Mafia didnt screw with the Irish! Not that I dont have any Italian friends

Didn't say a thing about your "credibility, honesty, inteligence, education and heritage", just said it didn't look like English was your first language - like maybe you formed up your responses with Google Translator. If you actually speak and write English, well... ok.

Anyway, relax. You were wrong. We knew it, and now you know it.
People were not just making up the "speed limiter" just to make Harley's "look slow" or whatever illogical nonsense you came up with. Also no one cares enough about Healtech to say it's bad or good - only that we know it won't affect the speed limiter which was the point. If it works for whatever you like it for, well that's cool.
