Default Ohlins on RG with Street Cannons

I just installed Ohlins 159 shocks on RGlige replacing stock 12” shocks. These 13” Ohlins length can be adjusted +/- 1/2”. I shortened them to 12.5” to minimize change in bike height without sacrificing shock travel. Will hopefully have chance to check them out this weekend. Main issue with stock 12” shocks was bottoming out when 2-up even at higher preloads, which then also gave stiff ride.

I really like the Ohlin Hd-159 I have on the 13 King. Ride is way better than the stock 12 shocks were. In my opinion Ohlin is the best, I have had

Dave, ‘twas of u and a few others that got me to get Ohlins. Real glad for that.
Got 2-up miles today, includiing two real bumpy roads, hit jounce just once and just a tad at that - a greatly improved ride!

Never thought that $$s on invisible mod that doesn’t improve torque or hp would be so appreciated!

Very nice to hear and I would be okay with a 13". Have not yet done enough 2 up to see if stock will bottom out.

However, please post in the proper section of the forum. This section has been dedicated to bashing of the M8 and all of it's faults.

Glad I didn’t see this forum before I bot the M8! It’s been fan tan so far.
Seems online reviews for all products have very negative points; M8 is no exception.

I would say do the suspension always first, then do performance mods.

I'm wondering what Street Cannons have to do with this.

Can you explain what you did to change bike height without sacrificing shock travel?

The Ohlins 159 have adjustment for overall shock length which does not impact the shock travel.
Shock replacement gets tight at lower bolt with SE cannons due to their 4.5” diameter.
