2018 M8----Sumping? Failures?

We have The RV plan on my AAA. It came it real handy once when we ran out of gas in the middle of Nowhere Utah. Two other times it got us to a dealer when we just broke down. We rode shovelheads all over this country for many years and 10,s of thousands of miles and never once needed a tow. Did a lot of roadside repairs but never got stuck.

I actually do have the RV/Motorcycle as well. If we are being Technical, the coverage is call Premier RV/Motorcycle. The coverage is like $225 for me and 2 family members. It's super cheap peace of mind when owning an M8.

Since the M8 engine made it's debut, the MoCo has been trying to figure out how to fix this.... So basically any M8 may sump...
The angry (and sometimes childish) "debates" are over why it sumps, how many sump, is it design, operator error, or both.....
It's a fact, that the vast majority of M8s don't sump.
Yet, it seems pretty obvious to me, there is a delicate balance in the oil scavenging design that can be affected by numerous issues that could make almost any M8 sump....
There are many that would agree with me and many who will disagree... I'm not sure why it's such a polarizing issue, but it is, and the debates become rather contentious...

Just trying to get my question answered by Tony P is all...what you say seems to make sense so not disputing...I think HD has stemmed the tide with the 2019 MY using the seal/ plate and revised oil pump...JMO...time will tell, but I just don't see lots of complaining about 2019 Touring bikes sumping...I know some of you don't agree with me and thats ok...maybe the seal on the plate will wear over time and revert back to failing, but for now it seems to be doing its job...
I totally hope the seal/plate works..... I really want the MoCo to fix this problem..... But I want them to fix it, not just minimize their warranty exposure.
I want to add an M8 to my garage, but until they fix this to my satisfaction, not theirs..... I'll keep my money in my wallet...
My twin cam bikes are running really well at this point, I don't NEED an M8......

All old threads started back at the beginning of the 2019 MY (Aug 2018)...not even a handful of sumping bikes and probably did not have the plate/seal installed, near as I can tell...
