Ok, since you say you've seen other people make posts stating that the ECU records what tuner was used to make the any map changes, then it must be true.
I never said it was true. I simply said what Ive seen others post.

Heatwave be careful dude. Didn't you notice he used a 'full name?' In terms of internet forum protocol that's like holding a handgun sideways!
How about this, 'if you can't do the time, don't do the crime'. Why would someone so skittish about warrantee coverage and cost even consider doing mods? Seems like an incompatibility to me. Roll the dice, maybe pay the price. Thrill without risk, doesn't exist.
The above is what people need to understand! I find it funny when someone comes in and post all over how great something is on his 2017 CVO and brag's about using an aftermarket tuning device and on it and on and on. Then when the bike fails, runs around all the sites removing his posts as fast as he can then putting the original parts back in place to return it to H-D.
For the record I have never stated a dealership can determine if a tuning device was or was not used for certain or what brand. I can and I am sure that Delphi could as well if they wanted too.

Personally I'm glad I didnt take the chance, my stock 107 has been replaced twice under warranty. Feeling lucky? I'm not.

From what I was told by the service manager at my local dealership is that the dealers can't tell with Digital Tech. that the ECM has been flashed with an aftermarket tuner but Harley can when the bike is plugged in and an ECM dump or as he called it a "birth certificate" is uploaded to them. He never stated that they can tell what kind of tuner was used.

I was told something very similar from a local deler I work close with. If a bike is in for warranty they have to hook it up to Digital Technician II and link to HD, and also send picture of both sides, front and back of motorcycle. What HD does when hooked up is a mystery to them.
