Do you really think someone that knows how is going to say so in a public forum? Not good for job security or warranty coverage even if they did hang out here.

According to the last several posters, there are lots of guys that have posted that HD can tell which tuner has made changes to the ECU. I simply asked to point one of them out.

You would think HD wouldn't care if the info got out if they have these capabilities. They want people to use their products.

I agree, why would HD care if we know that they can somehow if other tuners were used. i would think that it would work in their favor, as a deterrent.
Show me a single person who is in the know and says otherwise. I know, its too much effort to find someone that doesnt exist.
I seem to remember Steve Cole saying the dealer has a way to see that a foreign tuner was used. Hes one of several people Ive seen post that. They may be just parroting what they heard someone else say, but there has been multiple people state that here on the forums. I hope its not tru for our sake, but Im just stating what Ive seen people post.
How about this, 'if you can't do the time, don't do the crime'. Why would someone so skittish about warrantee coverage and cost even consider doing mods? Seems like an incompatibility to me. Roll the dice, maybe pay the price. Thrill without risk, doesn't exist.

Ok, since you say you've seen other people make posts stating that the ECU records what tuner was used to make the any map changes, then it must be true.
