I agree that would be the ideal situation. I prefer to do my own builds, and with my schedule at work it's a huge hassle to take multiple days off to test, tune and dyno. Luckily I live outside of town off a slow four lane highway. Makes it very simple to run new builds up and down the road looking for problems.
It still baffles me that HD can't pin point the sumping issue. Seems like they just side step the issue by throwing out a revised oil pump or suggest not to ride so hard.
here's the irony..when they introduced the M8's they boasted about it being the first time they have ever designed, tested and produced the Stage kits alongside them to be available immediately and the advantages of not having to go thru the hassles and growing pains from aftermarket competitors...

Seems like anymore they just let the aftermarket competitors fix their problems for them.
Just installed a 117" kit from Kendall Johnson Customs. Still waiting on my HPI TB before I can get it broke in. Just seeing if anyone has used this cam yet? Searched all over the forum and haven't seen much about it. I'm not really worried about dyno numbers, more along the lines of how it rides and where it will make power at.
picking up my 117 stage 3 with s&s 550c heavy duty springs adjustable push rods v&h short shorts and screaming rage extreme flow . today it's on the dyno right now . I'll post results soon .
Those are good numbers. I'll have to find my dyno sheet and get it posted. I ended up with 139Tq and 139 Hp. I went with the HPI 62mm TB also. After 3k RPMs it picks up quick.
I've had it done for around a month now and luckily no issues so far with around 2000 + miles on the motor upgrade.
Biggest problem I'm having now it the transfer issue. I'm having to check every 500 miles and usually pulling a good amount out of the primary. Starting to be a pain in the *** carrying a syringe and oil every time I go out of town.
