Im running baq stock m8 with the oil cooler do you need to drain all the oil from the cooler or does it not to be that though just wondering if that little bit will mess withe the syn 3 oil and possibllay void the warrinty?
There shouldn't be any problems with mixing the oils. Incompatibility was an issue early on with the synthetics, way back half a century ago. But not anymore.
However, old habits die hard, and I always tend to over-think things. So when I switch to a synth oil, I will do a flush, by installing the new oil, running a hundred miles or so, and then change the oil again. This gets out most of the retained oil. It is expensive and wasteful, and all but certainly unnecessary, but that doesn't stop me.
