During high-heat slow stop and go traffic my 2017 Ultra Limited M8 craps out. Can only restart if the bike is put in neutral. No engine mods. Same day I took my bike in there were 2 other M8s there with the same issue. The dealership was unable to replicate the issue (of course). Still occurring. Thoughts?
Does anyone actually know what part is going bad in the switch pack that is causing these issues? Anyway to test it like ohming the switch out or anything. If its strictly a intermitten issue then i guess not but would be nice to be able to rule the switch pack out during trouble shooting by not just replacing it in the future. If that makes since.

Service can identify the error with Digital Technician provided it's failing at that moment..hope this helps, and apparently the lever matters too..I noticed all the new bikes on the floor have the new switch like this one I got
Mine never actually stalled, but it came real close many times, usually as I was taxiing in a parking lot, or coasting to a stop in traffic. I would feel the rpm dropping and react immediately with the throttle to keep it running. I imagine that, if I didn't react, it would have stalled a few times.
Once I got the switch pack replaced, this problem completely disappeared, and I have been able to start in-gear.
The service writer didn't have to replicate the problem in the shop. All I had to do was report the problem, and they took it in to fix it. Took less than an hour. They had parts in stock, which tells me they're ready to replace more of them.
