Hello Heatwave and everyone. I am currently being towed to Grand Forks HD because my bike wouldn't start after i shut it off to gas up in Valley City, ND. Stutsman HD in Jamestown can kiss my ***. You can buy a bike there, but just don't expect them to take care of your maintenance needs anymore than an oil change or a tire. I was on my way back from Indiana, made it to Sioux Falls last night, then rolled out this morning for ND. Made it to Watertown, SD before I started having consistent issues. My bike was lacking power, running hot and this time I lost throttle response until I released the throttle lever and it reset. Then I regained throttle. That throttle part happened like literally 20 times between Sioux Falls and Watertown SD. (no ****? Again? Uh.....yeah). No way in Heaven or Hell am I taking my bike back to Stutsman HD in Jamestown so that they can blatantly disregard SB 1450. (If you look back you can see my posts on here regarding what happened last year.) When my bike wouldn't start, I pulled the CPS again and this time I drained out almost a full quart (the rest spilled in the parking lot. I cleaned it up with oil dry). Wiped off the sensor and reinstalled. Now it won't start. Good luck to me! Round 2. Fight! Any update to the SB? Thanks all. Any advice ?

That sucks. I hope you get it sorted. Why cant Harley Service Departments treat their customers like BMW motorcycle service departments?

Sounds like a bad case of sumping that caused significant damage if the engine was unable to start after it cooled down. The dealer needs to follow the steps in SB1450. Is your warranty still in effect? If so, call HD corporate and get an incident ticket started. You might get abit faster response from the dealer if they know Corporate is involved. Good luck.

Hey Heatwave. Yes I have an extended policy. My fear is that you're right and there is significant damage now. I called down to the Stutsman dealership in Aberdeen, SD and left a message for the owner to call me regarding my concern for his senior service writer at the Jamestown dealership and a gentleman named Al called me back shortly after. Explained the situation to him and the next day he offered to go get my bagger in Grand Forks and bring it back to his store in Aberdeen. Thought about it for a bit. I asked him if they're going to fix it right down there, why couldn't their store in Jamestown fix it right without giving me a shitty attitude about it the first time? Anyways.....its staying in Grand Forks at the HD dealership their. Heard great things about their senior technician ,Everett., over there.

Sounds like you have a plan with a dealer that cares about service. Good luck.
