I think most people don't talk about Revolution Performance's kit here since they use Nikasil. Fine for racing gas and top-quality gas as I understand it, but when used with pump gas Nikasil cylinders can break down over time; the worse the gas, the worse they break down.
Pretty sure the ricers all use Nikasil or their version of it.
I'd prefer a Nikasil set up myself ,unless there's some expansion deal I'm not aware of in large CI configs. They run cooler , weigh less, cool down quicker in the wind and some say make more power.
Nicasil is a silicon carbide/nickel mixture that is electrically deposited in a layer a couple thousandths of an inch thick onto an aluminum cylinder casting. It takes the place of steel liners. It's much harder than steel so it wears much more slowly, it retains oil on it's surface better than steel, and it transfers heat from the piston and rings to the cylinder casting much more efficiently than a steel sleeve.
Hard-coated cylinders also have a major advantage of cylinders with steel liners as far as expansion rates are concerned. Because aluminum transfers heat much more rapidly than steel, and because aluminum expands to a greater degree than steel when heated, an aluminum piston will expand faster and farther than a steel sleeve during warm-up and when under heavy loads, possibly resulting in a seizure. But with Nicasil, because the plating is only about .002" thick, and because it's not solid like a sleeve, the cylinder and the piston will expand at the same rate and by the same amount, greatly reducing the chances of a seizure and allowing the engine to run tighter clearances for quieter operation and more power.
So I had to take a look at their website just to see what they actually offer because as anyone who's done an engine before already knows, you need a hell of a lot more coin than $1,299 to turn a 107 into a 124".
First thing that caught my eye was the dyno sheet, 92HP for a 124" motor! That's less than 1hp per Inch. I'd be ashamed to even put those numbers on my website. let me give you some sound advice - "stay far away my friend".
A Chinese SE stage 2 on a stock 107 gives you another 8 hp more than that!!!!
It's actually sad.... I guess it's for the guy who needs to claim he has more "inches" than the next.. That's about all I see this combo good for. if you took this to an Indy and they installed this package it would cost you another $1k and you'd get nada out of it.

put that same cam under it and see what happens , better yet put some 5.5 inj and head work and a big cam .
