First, they apparently think they have it fixed on 2019s. Apparently the first 2019 touring bikes made don't have the fix, but those made 10/17/18 or later are supposed to have it. Let's hope we don't see any reports of post-10/17 bikes sumping.
Second, those engineering jobs may not even be for the M8. Harley is introducing a whole new line with 975 and 1250cc engines, which may be an extension of the Revolution X or it may be a whole new engine line, they're eventually going to replace the Sportster engine line, they have promised 100 models over 10 years and we are only two years into that, and they have a whole line of electric bikes coming out. And that's just what we have been told about, they may very well have other projects in the pipeline. Sub-400cc single cylinder bikes are enormously popular overseas, so they may be looking at developing something in that field. I wouldn't be too quick to assume that job postings for engine designers have anything to do with the M8.
