I've noticed on my 18 StreetGlide that clutch master cylinder no longer has the site glass like my 14 did, this was very handy for checking fluid level versus having to remove the cap and risk having it leak after removing it a few times. I can't understand why this be removed unless it was a major cost saving.

Mine was replaced a few months back after the clutch went dead three different times. Glad they are doing this, but hell do it right the first time.

Now that the newer bikes don't have the site glass in the MC, what's the best way to check for the leak? I was planning on a couple hundred mile ride with some friends on 11/3 and am not hesitant. hmm. Would it just crap out or would there be signs leading up to an issue when shifting?

is there any word that the plastic deflector is helping? I would gladly pay them to put that on during the recall but I heard somewhere doing it worse with that. If this helps it's unbelievable that they wouldn't include this in the recall

FWIW There is a poll in here somewhere that polled people who had the deflector put in. Most said it did not help.

When I saw the headline my first thought was they were finally going to fix the sumpers/ fluid transfer issues for the folks having those issues.

But it was just a dream!

Dealer tracked me down today. They tried to call yesterday but I had the phone off. Mine is on the list. I have had no issue with it yet at 21,000 miles. I am riding right now and this time of year we must make the best of it so it can wait to get in.
