Default New recall

Recall 0173. Some leaking slave cylinders found, causing loss of clutch control. Replacing the slave cylinder (with new secondary actuator 37200131B) should correct. No word if it's going to include the plastic oil deflector 36300026, but it should. That would update the 17 & 18 models to 19 specs.

Here's the full text of the recall from the Harley website:

(Model shows 2018 Street Glide because I searched for the recall using my VIN number, all touring models are potentially affected)

I can probably ignore this recall. I just received my AIM Light Force clutch slave cylinder today.

Interesting....... I was in for service at my dealer yesterday and I asked about any recalls and was told “none”. Guess, it was issued today (the day after)?

Glad they are covering it, but man so inconvient. Dont want to risk not doing it, but thinking it will wait till my next service. The service department is going to be backed up for awhile now i am sure.

I went by the dealer yesterday because I found out about the recall in a thread in the touring forum, Dealerships just received their notification yesterday morning (or at least the one I visited did). Part kits for the correction won't ship to dealers until Nov 5th, you can call/visit your dealer now and they can run the VIN to see if you are affected, if so they can put you on their list to call when parts arrive. My 17 RGU was affected, my guess is its likely pretty much all 17/18 Touring bikes.

In the mean time monitor your fluid level in the clutch master cylinder to make sure the level does not drop down enough to pull air into the circuit if it is leaking at the actuator
