No letter here but Im having the AIM lightforce installed so not really a concern anymore
If you get the letter, you could take it, and your old actuator, to your dealer's service dept, and talk to a service writer or tech. Should be able to trade the old piece, and a signature, for the new recall kit, and just toss the kit in with the spare fob & owners manual. The dealership gets credit ( and paid for) the recall, and you have the piece to transfer in case the bike ever does change hands.

Hmm...I'll be heading to my dealer tomorrow hopefully he can do this for me.

just got mine done, took about an hour..they didn't need to loosen or remove the exhaust, just the heat shield they said..got 100 mile ride in and 3 more days of dry sunny weather (cold though) ahead to ride! wife's goes in tomorrow for her recall fix
My dealer told me I was the first to call about the recall and they would take care of me, as always. Going in 8 AM tomorrow to get it done. I actually got my letter today. Thanks to forum member that first posted this recall.

How does the clutch feel? A member on another forum posted his clutch felt different after the service. I assume they flush the clutch fluid?
Are any of you going to get an ABS flush done at the same time? I may not get recall done until spring then I will be at 2 years on my ABS fluid.
Two years should be fine. I don't have ABS or the useless linked brakes on my King. But I do keep up with the PH and moisture content on my clutch and brakes. Being a standard hydraulic setup. Brembo DOT 4 can be bought at AutoZone and a flush is about a 3 beer job... Also AutoZone and others have a killer little brake and clutch bleeder kit for like $11.00 that works great on none nanny state systems.
