Does this quote seem fair . I understand parts cost But labor is a grand.. I'm buying the bike brand new, and having this added before I take possession And all out the door is 29507.

Dont know what the bike is, so not sure about the out the door price. Cost of the stage 2 is fair.

I paid $1300 without slip-on's for my Stage 2 so I would say do me a better deal or else cancel bike and buy from another dealer, they are not doing you any favours!

I don't see AC on there? but yeah, around 5-600 for the cam install labor would be average, they're probably charging you a couple hundred to update the SEPST ECM calibration and install the mufflers so in the end at least 2-300 higher than it could be. If this quote included a SE AC installed it would be about right imo

If you have any mechanic/technical abilities at all, installing the mufflers is literally loosening/removing and tightening/replacing 6 bolts (assuming it’s a bagger, which is still a mystery at this point). One at each muffler clamp, and two at the rear hangers off the saddlebag frames. And the tune load is also a handful of clicks of a mouse if you own and can use a laptop. Plenty of YouTube videos showing you how.

Doing that will give you a little familiarity with your motorcycle and can save you a hundred bucks (assuming they rolled that labor into the quote). Plus it will motivate you to buy the service manual which is a must have for any owner. Take delivery of the bike, ride it a bit, install the stuff and notice any difference you may feel. Then bring it in for the cam. As long as it’s installed in the first 60 days of ownership, it’s on your warranty.

That said, if you don’t own tools of the skill to use them, or the technical ability to use the software, just pay the bill, which is maybe a little high, as the muffler install shouldn’t be charged for as they come off as part of the cam install anyway (any dealer making that a line item is ripping its customers off), and prepare to pay bills like that for the rest of your ownership life...

Labor seems way high. I just paid $500 labor for a Stage 2 install.

What is the hourly labor rate in your area? Hard to compare without knowing how many hours you are quoted.

I think it’s a bit on the high side after seeing what everyone else was getting charged, I was quoted $1428.for the torque cam and install. I haven’t test ride my new bike with the 114 so I’m going to hold off until I feel the power first.

Find a different dealer. There are so many dealers out there, especially in Cali (I assume that's where you are from) and I also assume since you are buying it new, you want to keep the warranty intact. Understand the logic, but here's the thing, you could go to a Indy shop, get a better cam than the SE, a better tuner than the SE and have a better running bike for it for probably 500 less easily and that might include a better flowing air cleaner. 1000 dollars to install a cam and pipes is crazy. And also have them throw in a couple of services like the 1K and 5K since you are willing to spend additional $$$$. You have the power right now, dealers are begging to sell bikes, make them cater to you.
