I had the HD bag lights on my previous bike and liked them but thinking of going to the Custom Dynamics. They seem to be brighter and offer more functionality than HD lights, and they are a little cheaper. I assume these have a quick disconnect at the seat/bag like HD. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Not sure what you mean by "bag lights". The run/brake/turn add on lights mounted at the top of the bag just under the bag lid? The "filler" lights that go between the bag and the rear fender? Or something else? I was considering the run/brake/turn add ons that mount at the top of the bag just under the bag lid--the CD lights can be had with regular or "sequential" turn signals, the HD does NOT offer those with the sequential turn signal. Have since decided against those but bought (haven't put them on yet) the CD Probeam filler lights to go between the bags and the rear fender. Yes, the CD Probeam lights are WAY brighter than HD and cheaper than HD as well. All are plug and play.
Also, the HD warranty is one year. The CD warranty is LIFETIME.
I've had both on 2 different bikes. The custom dynamics are Much brighter than the HD lights but I prefer the HD because they seem to Match the intensity of what is already there. If you are putting CD lights on a street glide they definitely look out of place IMO unless you use the CD turn signal LEDs as well. I do have the Custom Dynamic Pro Rings on the front of my 2018 Road Glide Ultra and wouldn't go any other way with front signals Hope this help you.
I have CD saddlebag lights and fillerz. Yes, they are brighter than HD. I have HD LED taillights, and think they offer a nice contrast. My CDs also strobe on braking.
(My sig picture is before I added the fillerz.)

The CD Probeam LEDs are fairly new, brighter than their earlier ones and you can get their filler lights either way. I ordered the Probeam filler lights and also got the Probeam LED CD tail light to replace the HD OEM light so, once it warms up and I install them, the Probeam tail light will match the Probeam filler lights. And I'm undecided at this point whether I want to get the CD controller to strobe the tail light and filer lights but I already have the CD controller to strobe my tour pak brake lights and WOW that improves my visibility so much from the rear.
Ive got the BAGZ on my 2017 RGS. Love then and yes they have the quick connects behind the saddlebags. They can also be used with one of CDs Strobe modules to draw even more attention when youre stopping. HD lights arent setup for strobe and wont work.
