Surging at off idle
My 18 RGU will surge kinda badly off idle when I'm cruising at about 1100 rpm. Its annoying when your in traffic or maneuvering around in a slow speed situation. My parade mode is off. My bike is a 107 with a Screaming Eagle tuner, SE mufflers and a SE conical air cleaner.
Any ideas?

is this new behavior, and if so, what changed, after the SE Stage 1, didn't do it bone stock, etc. for one thing, need to give it more gas.."cruising at about 1100 rpm" while I know you meant something differently, yours should idle at 950 and eitms will jump to 1050, so at 1100 either way that's just about like letting the clutch out and hoping it will maintain forward motion without barely any throttle..I could see how it would tend to lurch
I agree. I have a 107 m8. I'm assuming it's normal. If it's like mine, as soon as you let the clutch out on takeoff, and advance the throttle, it "jerks". I still do it once in while, but can consciencely controller it. It's my first efi bike.
You can’t “cruise” at 1100 rpm. If you’re in first gear and let the clutch all the way out and just let the idle carry you forward you need to learn how to operate a manual transmission first before you ride on public roads.
That’s a problem that I’ll never have. Can’t imagine cruising along at idle speeds. Keep the rpm closer to midrange and it may allow you to dodge some nasty scrapes out there in traffic.
If it acts like it is going to kill at low speed or cornering, It could be an intake leak.Under Warranty, let Them figure it out.
that's why I asked him the first question, is this a behavior that recently changed or not..if it's always been this way then it sounds like he needs to get used to throttle/clutch application in traffic crawling

Ditto. If you're going so slow that you're cruising at 1100 rpm, downshift to first to get the rpm up.. If you're already in first, get into the friction zone and bring up the rpm.
