The 14-18 have the GT radio / head unit. The weather map from Sirius displays differently than the 2019
The 2019 has the GTS radio head unit. You can not get as great a detail on the zoom as you can on earlier bikes.
Its due to the difference int he head units.
Any idea how close you can zoom in for weather on the GT radio on the 14-18 models?
I have a 2019 model with the GTS radio and can only zoom in as far as 1 inch equals 25 miles for weather. When not on the weather page I can zoom in as close as 50 feet on the scale. When it's zoomed to 25 miles you see an area that's probably 500 miles wide that's really doesn't give much detail. When I zoom in with the weather most of the time the zoom won't stay and zooms back out right away to the maximum. I've looked for settings to change the zoom on the weather and there is nothing to change. The weather on the GTS is pretty much useless since it's so washed out you can barely see it, especially if you're running a short route with a lot of waypoints - all you can see is the flags for the waypoints.
However, I have never done so with my phone so like most others, I cannot get weather any better than the 2019 will let me see. I do remember the weather on my '14 had the same zoom issue for about a year until a software update finally fixed it. I am hoping the same will happen with this version.
