Default Muller vs. AIM

Muller is now making the slave cylinders for the M8’s, and also the 14-16 bikes. Anyone have any thoughts on which one is better? I know AIM’s first gen had some problems. I’ve got the slave on my list and have to decide which one to get.

With all the problems AIM has had I'd probably have more trust in the Muller, but there's no data.

Hmmm, I have 15,000 miles on my AIM with zero issues. THe ONLY issue I heard about the 1st gen AIM which I have is the line isn't bent at the perfectly correct angle but I had no issues on the install or operation!

A lot of guys haven’t had any problems at all with the Aim Slave Cylinder. My 1st Gen Aim failed after just under 5K and I’ve only had my 2nd Gen in for 500 or so. The Aim IS a nice unit but time will tell if they got their issues under control I guess. I don’t know anything about the Muller so I can’t help there, sorry.

I put the Muller on my bike but in the end it's probably a wash between both.

I had a problem getting the right part number and so my one day actuator change out turned into a nearly three week ordeal. The mistake was made by the vendor, not Muller. Had I known I'd have to wait so long to get the right one I'd have ordered the AIM as they are just a few miles from home.

The Muller installed easily, is built to a high standard, and was easy to bleed. It works excellent.

I just ordered the Muller 120-60. I double checked with a few dealer sites and Muller’s site and believe that is the right number for my ‘19. I did find one site that claimed the 120-50 is for the 17-19 and the 120-60 is for 14-16, but it appears they have it reversed.

I’ve had the Muller installed for 3,000 miles. Works great!
