Yes Max, there are progressives on this forum, I happen to be one of them. That is all I'm saying about it as this is not a political forum.

I have never measured the travel of the clutch, but since the AIM actuator seems to work well I think there is plenty. If you are looking for a solution that doesn't involve less travel you will have to go with one of the solutions that involve lighter springs, the best ones I think to be the Rekluse clutches. If I lived in a place where I had to commute in heavy traffic in a hilly terrain I would definitely consider the RadiusX setup. It would just make the stop and go, especially on hills, a much easier to deal with proposition. I got caught in rush hour traffic in Portland, Or. once when I was working there. I could see where this clutch would have worked well in that situation.

Stock pressure plate travel on the hydraulic clutch is pretty generous. I for what it is exactly but it's something like 0.090.. I've run TC clutches with about 2/3 that without issue. I suspect that most of the issues with clutches on M8s is due to the primary filling up with tranny fluid. The stock slip assist clutch is pretty clunky tho. My 17 rk has been blackening the primary oil pretty bad between oil changes so I expect that it's starting to go. Have a Barnett scorpion fo replacement.

Let us know how the Mueller slave cylinder works out. So far, the few who have installed their unit seem to love it. But I don't think anyone has many miles (over 5K) on it yet.
Will do, hope to get the exhaust off this weekend.

I have read, and heard good things. Hope for some relief in the stop and go commutes. I think a Rekluse clutch may be in my future.

Too many years wrenching, now the arthritis acts up after pumping that bitch 100 times in a traffic jam.
