As I mentioned earlier . If you ordered the FullSac header, then you ordered the 4.5 SE mufflers ( for a factory header which means no converter in the mufflers )
that combination will work great , no heat issues )
Yes I have had the Fullsac setup an a few previous bikes, I am just looking at keeping my warranty intact for two years, and keeping the exhaust quiet. The SE price really isn't much more that an aftermarket header and mufflers and I would need a tuner for either setup. I was just hoping to hear from anyone that has used the SE system.
I ran the S&S full exhaust on both my ‘17 and ‘18 M8 bikes. I know it isn’t the SE set up you are asking about but very similar. It has hi-flow cats in the mufflers and a tuned header. I ran it with the SEPST and the auto tuner. There was a reduction in heat and I didn’t realize how much until I bought my ‘19 and haven’t used the same system. To me the difference is very noticeable. Also the set up performed very well, fit and finish was good. Sound was a nice rumble at idle, deep aggressive sound when running through the gears but a very mellow sound when cruising . No exhaust drone at highway speeds. I have seen and heard the SE set up and I think it functions very much the same but I didn’t care for the sound. It sounded like the Street Cannon slip-ons and while I ran those for a while I liked the sound of the full S&S much better. The only reason I am not using this set up on my ‘19 is because I have the gloss black heat shields and they will not work on this set up. One other thought is adding the cool-flow fan. This helps a lot when setting still or in slow moving traffic.
The S&S set up is 50 state EPA and CARB compliant and will not void your warranty if installed with the Harley tuner. Also Fuel Moto has a better price than ordering directly from S&S and FM might have a Black Friday sale coming later this month.
Good Luck in your search.
I can't speak of the heat difference as my standard came with the full exhaust setup already on it. the heat does seem to be less that my 16 sg put off. the sound is awesome , nice mellow rumble at idle and cruising speeds but puts out a nice deep bark when you crank on the throttle.
I would like to hear fm anyone that has first hand experience with this exhaust system if there is any significant reduction in felt engine heat. That would be the reason for me to switch to this system as well as keeping the exhaust volume low, and keeping my warranty intact.
Yes it is definitely a lot cooler with the SE hi flow exhaust and street cannons 4.5 inch done 30,000k on pipes luv ,sound great 126 toque 120 Rwh
