Question on Screamin Eagle Mufflers

Just got a set of 80503-07 Screamin Eagle slash down mufflers for my 08 1200XLC. One has a perfectly shaped down slash while hte other has a down slash with a small slash in the side. Is this normal? Maybe for clearance or something?

I used to have a set. The one pipe has a small indentation on the back side. Kinda near the shock. I think it is for clearance. If thats it it's normal. The other one didnt have it.

My stock rear muffler has that indentation in the side.

Thanks. The back one has this indentation as you both describe. It is the front one that concerns me. The area I am talking about is on the inside edge of the slash itself. It looks like a lemon wedge has been removed from the slash. It looks like it was made that way at the factory. Mounted, I don't think it would be seen

Hi, I have the same mufflers on my 08 1200C, but, side slash and mine does not have a little "wedge" cut out like you are saying. Hope that helps. Ride safe.
