Primary vent causing a different transfer problem?
Just saw this post on FB from the maker of the fat clutch rod and at least for me there are some new assertions here which I thought would be valuable to discuss/verify/refute, etc. I'll just post the screen snip and would like to hear opinions from knowledgeable people. Yes, he's pushing products here, but I'm hoping we can keep the focus of the conversations on the technical merit (or lack of) of his assertions.
He's sitting on a mountain of clutch push rods...that's all.
If you review the threads on here...many still report transfer with his fat rod.
I've yet to see one person say the MoCo vent doesn't work.
I DID see two posters say Trans fluid was low but they never verified fluid level after the vent install.
Harley did NOT discontinue the vent kit.
Of course his kit is better and the real fix...
I'd like to have verification that the vent fix has been cancelled or discontinued from the mothership. I too saw this post but wasn't sure of it's contents.
I see there point of what there saying but just haven't heard of the issue's they claimed yet. Don't worry though, if it cause's another seal to blow or leak, you can bet your bottom dollar we will hear it here 1st.
I thought the crankcase was vented out the heads into the the air filter area. We will see, sounds like he is also promoting his crankcase vent kit. Seems a little shaky to me. Perhaps business has gone down with the Harley fix. I am not having any issues with motor oil getting into my primary.
I have had zero issues with my 18 m8 deluxe. But what I am noticing is that I do not rev the engine up and shift at high rpms. I was also notified by the shop foreman about the need for the m8 to be warmed up prior to operation. and every one is so afraid to let the v twin idle. More warm up time and less high rpm shifting. shifting at 6500 rpm. I have been monitoring the failures that people describe. Seems the high rpm crankcase pressures are the issue. I will be curious to see the affects down the road upon modifications from people.

Discuss.....
hes a known douche that got banned multiple times off the forum using aliases to promote the garbage he was selling, i wouldnt trust him on what time of day it was, hes an idiot. Period
he's an unscrupulous FOS d-bag...I called him out on this comment of his FB post awhile back asking him to provide evidence of his report, and also posted this same thing here..then I went back to his post and reported my wife's 12 / 2019 build just arrived with the primary vent..he has a personal agenda to discredit the MOCO in order to help advance his sales
Some people just don't know when to say uncle. This dude is one of em!
I dont think he will, he has quite the followers on Facebook that put him on a pedestal they think he is a godsend for fixing there transfer issues or so they say and has them convinced that MoCos fix is NFG.

That is very interesting. It's a bold statement to post that the vent is now discontinued. I wonder if he will retract if they don't discontinue it?
