absolutely. I had a 2013 Ultra Twin Cam and when it kicked on the bike sputtered and shook but on my water cooled m8 i barley notice it so i just leave it on

I recently enabled mine, 2020 Low Rider S 114". Todays ride was mostly freeway but it did kick in around town at street light stops. With another loud bike next to me it was barely noticeable, not like my old 2014 Street Glide. I'm going to leave it engaged, my current ride is so much cooler than the 2014 SGS, if this makes it even cooler, I'll keep it.

I see you got a set of :Leather-pro's on your bike. Where did you get the backrest attachment and how does it work with the bags? A pic would be great. Thank you.

The backrest is the Harley tall sissy bar, luggage rack attachment and long pad to match the Low Rider seat I use.
With the saddle bags installed I start the front mount of the sissy bar then move the saddle bag levers out of the way (pictured) and the rear of the sissy bar will drop down.
Works fine with both the bags and sissy bar mounted.

Just recently disabled mine on my 2017 RGU. The only thing I’ve noticed is my fan runs much longer when I turn the bike off.

I definitely notice mine on my 2020 CVO Limited. Not nearly as bad as the TC's though. It's been in the mid 70's here in Washington which is a heat wave here. Anyway, it seems that EITMS comes on more often than on my 2014 SGS. Do the M8's run hotter than the TC's?

My M8 seems cooler running than my previous 2016 FLHTCU was. Not a scientific measure, but mostly we're talking seat-of-the-pants here, so it's all relative and subject to moods.

I've had a re-think about the EITMS. One thing I do every day is ride many miles at 75-85 mph on open freeway, often in 90+ heat. When I exit, often must come to a stop at the end of the ramp. Highway heat surging and little airflow around the engine to carry it away. It occurs to me that EITMS might do a valuable heat-removal work at that point, when the motor is drenched from high output heat exertion and then comes to an almost immediate stop at a light for two minutes. EITMS will come on immediately, and I'm thinking this will help pull a fair amount of that heat away more quickly. So, I have enabled my EITMS and am trying to get used to it. Still don't like it.

I enable my EITMS late Spring through Summer and early Fall. The rest of the year its disabled. It gets to hot and humid in Florida and I like giving the engine the benefits which come with the bike.

I’ve left mine on since I bought the bike, it’s an ‘017… I like it, when it kicks in at a stoplight it sounds and feels like my Panhead… LOL
