Need a little help
2020 RGS 114 10,000 miles with mods 222XE cam adjustable push rods and Fueling oil pump and cam chest 2000 miles ago , Last month I installed a Trask M8 vent, I previously had the A1 dipstick vent .All was well until riding to Laconia Sunday. It was a fast 75/80 MPH highway run for over a hour, A fellow rider waved me over because bike was smoking, There was a large quantity of oil on the exhaust, I removed side cover and found the Trask vent filter was covered with oil. For the rest of the trip keeping the revs down seemed to stop the oil burning. I went thru 1/2 QT oil with it mostly landing on the bikes following me, Yes I washed there bikes yesterday, I know the question will be what oil do I use 20-50 Non Syn HD. I have only gone into the cam chest on this bike never had head work or cylinders the bike runs fantastic other then this oil issue Thanks for any Help

did you start at the top and see the highest point you see oil, and work your way down..something 'changed' drastically all of a sudden..and I can't believe anyone with half a brain would ask what oil you use, completely irrelevant here..personally I would have kept things simple, and used the HR 8 lobe oil pump and not added that other stuff, vented dipstick and trans cover..I got over 31,000 miles on my 2020 RGS 114 stock and have never seen a drop of oil anywhere externally..you added the stage 2 and that other stuff recently, has to be related
I had a pretty bad flow of oil / blowby coming out of the Trask CheckM8 (see post link below) and determined that I had added too much oil last fall. I removed the Check M8, changed the oil, refilled with a little more than 4 quarts of Mobil1 and haven't experienced any significant blowby from my engine head breathers since then. I actually ripped out the external breather set up I had and rerouted the blowby back into the throttle body. I ran the bike hard 75+ mph on Sunday for 1.5 hours and got nothing on my air filter or TB blade.

Did running the hose up higher then back down help with the Trask or did you just remove it altogether? When I purchased mine at their vendor setup they recommended the hose be ran as high as you could.

The OP wanted a little help, good job as you went above and beyond with "VERY LITTLE" help.
. The trask cover is the same as stock except with the addition of a reed valve in the oil tank cross over. Sounds like there was crank case pressure and the reed valve was relieving that pressure. Since the area where the reed valve is located is the crossover from the engine sump to the oil tank, you must have had aerated oil in the sump that passed through reed valve.
Negative pressure in the bottom end helps to seal the rings and that is why there is a one way valve, maybe the reed valve failed and the rings didn't wipe the cylinders clean causing excess oil to leave on the exhaust stroke. Test the reed valve.
Hate to hear that, if that much was coming out seems like it would have to be some underlying issue. Hope it all works out for you!
I drained the oil and made sure it wasn't overfilled and haven't had any blowby issues since then. I don't plan on adding the check m8 back since I'm not getting any blowby from the heads.
Thanks for the responses, My trask vent hose goes up high then comes down just above exhaust. I think I may just put a plug on the Trask outlet and ride with the Dipstick vent in and see if results are the same. How could the Fueling oil pump effect the PVC in the crankcase ? Im also venting the breather and never see oil on my air filter
